Perfect replacement OEM

This was the perfect OEM replacement for the gas cap on my 2008 Porsche 911. The strap on the cap broke and instead of trying to fix it I found it and it was perfect for one reasonable price compared to the dealer.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Great offer! in the gas caps

The cable broke on the gas cap of my 2007 Porsche Boxster, making it difficult to fill the tank without dropping the gas cap. This item was reasonably priced, shipped quickly, and we installed it in under two minutes (we spent most of the time looking for a hammer).

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Minor issues

OEM looks best in gas caps

Same markings as my original cap so most likely OEM. Didn't want to force it and possibly break it. However, the clip seems safe, so it doesn't matter.

Porsche 987 tank cap OEM

I needed a replacement tank cap for my Porsche 987 because the cable broke and I was afraid of losing the cap when I stopped to refuel. Bought this and can confirm it is OEM coverage (same supplier etc). The plastic bag it comes in doesn't say "Porsche" but the name on the cap is the same as the OEM, as well as the part number. Despite some of the previous reviews and questions, it comes with a pin to hold the leash on your body. One of the cheapest Porsche parts you will ever get and top…

08 cayman works great.

Okay, I wanted to decline at first because I had a problem with not getting the video. The part I received was the original OEM cover. Labeled packaging, fits and looks the same. I replaced mine because part of the belt snapped on my old one. Now for the clip, looks like it hit or missed. I checked the box, bag and lid cover and it wasn't there. I then contacted the seller and they quickly turned around, sent the clip via standard mail and I received it. Didn't want to go back and just try my…

The cover is OEM but you may NOT need it.

Cover OEM but may NOT be needed. When my friend's "Check Engine" light came on on a Porsche Cayman S, I advised him to go to his local auto parts store to have an OBD II code read. He bought a Stant brand aftermarket hat and the light went out. I bought this OEM cover for it and the "Check Engine" light came on again. So I told him to take the gasket off the stant cover and put it on top of the OEM cover. The check engine light is off. I've had Japanese and American made cars that are 10-15…

OEM gas cap and with lanyard pin

Bought for a 2002 Boxster, works perfectly. Several Revain reviews indicated that what buyers received was not a Porsche original. Some have also stated that their product does not include a pin to attach the gas cap lanyard to the body. The cover I received is definitely OEM. It is in a plastic Porsche pouch which is in the second pouch which also contains a pin for fastening. There is no Porsche branding on the outside pocket, so it is possible that the pin is not OEM. Who cares, works and…
