Even at 100% brightness, the contrast between my laptop monitor and the Duex Plus is noticeably different. I figured I was trading weight for image quality. You can settle for the extra ounces if that means a brighter, sharper monitor. On the plus side, it was pretty easy to install. But I think the instructions weren't very well written. I like the display, but it's not as bright as my MacBook Pro screen. Also, the instructions for initial screen installation with adhesive tabs led me to install the Due in the center of my MacBook, which prevented the screen from protruding over the edge of the MacBook, preventing it from rotating and the entire screen being invisible . I got it right on the third try. Luckily there were extra glue tabs.

I really wanted it to work well as I travel and work so much! The loop is pretty cheap and doesn't slip easily. Brightness isn't very high even on the highest level - I don't know why it's so bright on other reviewers? After a few tries it started to freeze. It didn't show anything when I tried to drag windows there and then the mouse just stayed there on the screen. I was really hoping this would work with my 13" Dell laptop but just couldn't find a secure fit due to the monitor protruding over the top. I thought it was the type that snaps onto the top of the laptop but it doesn't, instead it's held in place with very strong magnets. They just won't hold up well enough, so I'm going back. I have purchased this item for less than a year and my screen has failed. At first I thought it was a great buy and a bit worth the money (a bit overpriced); However, if it fails in less than a year, it's a disappointment. I should have bought this a long time ago! I work from home and it's a lot harder for me to work on my small laptop than on the big monitor I have in my office. I was looking for portable monitors and came across this product. That works great! It was easy to connect to my laptop and set up on my computer. The only downside is that the windows and the writing on the monitor are pretty small and I have to enlarge them.

I feel like the downloaded driver messed up my computer. Now my mouse is not working properly and something is wrong. The monitor is fine, but it's a bit small, so I had to shrink the screen to see the on-screen buttons, and that made it difficult to read. Although I don't really like sitting at the table. It was a great monitor but too heavy for my Chromebook. If it wasn't perfectly balanced, my CB monitor would lean back or close. At some point he fell off his back too. My sticky magnetic sticker is sucked. I ended up having to use duct tape on my macbook's protective sleeve, the screen doesn't stay up but it's a cool concept, I think it's mainly for traveling or on campus and good for an extra screen but if you' if you are at home just take a computer monitor with you but portrait slides are best it sucks because mine came with a sticker that was dry and used 3/5 for me

Having two displays is not a luxury these days. For example, if you're reading a manual, you'll need another screen to try. There are so many uses for an extra screen. For the money, as I understand it, it can't be better!
