An excellent investment for those who drive in the snow.

Nobody should ride in the snow without them. Serious. Forget the kitty litter, these things work wonders. The only problem with them is that at some point you have to stop and pick them up. I was thinking of attaching a string to it and tying it to the rear bumper so you can keep driving until you get to a safe spot where you don't immediately get stuck again.

These pads are good if your car is terrible in small amounts.

These pads are good if your car doesn't handle a lot of snow well, but if you have a decent car at snow management and just get stuck in a really big storm they won't be of any use at all. The 2 times I tried to use mine there was too much snow to effectively force them to stay in the same spot so I could get traction. Only recommended for vehicles without ESC or front-wheel drive.

On the fence in the car

So on the fence. There are many situations where they are useful, but there are also many situations where they are insufficient. The problem is that you don't really know until you get them and try them. However, they are bulky to pack in a car. They are awkward to get in and out of. They are dirty after use, which would be nice if that was the situation when they were working. But when they don't work, one tends to resent all the fuss and crap. I'm afraid I think they'll go to my next flea…

pulled me out of a rut. Multiple

I have to park outside and I live far north. We had about 225 inches of snow last winter and it was cold enough to stay. I don't drive the car often, so it was sometimes difficult for me to lift the car from a spot after a week or more when snow and ice had accumulated around it. These guys are doing a good job. I'm front-wheel drive so I put one under each front tire, big lugs down and small lugs up and out. Two or three times when I couldn't move (the wheels were spinning, they weren't going…

Buy two sets omg the best in the world

Seriously I bought these for a basic off road ride and thank goodness I didn't need to use them . apart from what I did about half an hour ago today. Honestly, when used properly, they're about as good as a tow hook. The lady got caught in a pile of snow and spun like crazy and she had the worst day of her month. So I went out and decided to break those seals and put them under the tires. Within seconds she was free in a front-wheel drive SUV. Honestly, everyone should have that and a shovel in

Works great on soft sand, tested!

After using a portable tow truck for five months here in Florida, I finally got the chance to use it to pull my minivan out of the sand. The front wheel (it's an FWD) sank a few inches in soft sand that was underneath some hard-looking sand. I've made enough room behind each tire to be able to insert the leading edge of each pad to about the middle of the recessed tires. I didn't make support ramps for the platforms, I just laid them on loose sand. I backed the car up, gave it a little more…

It worked for me - Snow chains

My car, a Mustang, has been parked for over a month. I made the mistake of parking on Alley Boulevard on a 3 inch ice floe. There wasn't much space in front of me because someone had parked right in front of me. Tries to reverse through the brake pads, but nothing happens. The only way out was to ride forward on the pads, then back on them and turn toward the road. One trick I found useful was to keep the car in second gear; This reduces torque and wheel slip before the ramps engage. It took me

Pulled me out of a muddy stream while riding a motorbike.

Recently I finally got to use this SUV. But not for a car. I was on my dual purpose bike when I happened to be in a muddy ravine. My bike weighs about 290 pounds and I weigh 140 pounds. I had no traction at all and dug deeper and deeper into the dirty creek. My buddy had a set on a UTV. They fit perfectly between the front and rear wheels of the motorcycle. I can cut them in half and tie the halves together to make them more wearable. I can then strap my bike on for future use. I don't know how

They work on all types of vehicles!

In the last 24 hours alone it has helped me get 4 cars of all kinds out of the snowdrifts they got caught in! One of them was a four-wheel drive SUV with two front wheels stuck in a snowdrift. One of them was a LARGE 4x4 pickup that swerved and hit a snowdrift with the rear driver's side tire. One of them was a four-wheel drive sports car that had a punctured front tire on the driver's side and was high in the middle. One of them was a nice Buick that just couldn't hold up on the driveway…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
