My car, a Mustang, has been parked for over a month. I made the mistake of parking on Alley Boulevard on a 3 inch ice floe. There wasn't much space in front of me because someone had parked right in front of me. Tries to reverse through the brake pads, but nothing happens. The only way out was to ride forward on the pads, then back on them and turn toward the road. One trick I found useful was to keep the car in second gear; This reduces torque and wheel slip before the ramps engage. It took me a few tries, but I was successful in the end. Warning: Don't leave anyone behind the car while trying to get onto the ramp as it's easy to knock them off their wheels if they spin.
