As advertised, good quality shrink tool.

Portasol PPT-13 Pro Piezo Hot Blow arrived well packaged and looks great. The main attraction of this additional Portasol plastic welder is its ability to reduce heat shrinkage without worrying about hooking up a hair dryer. The nozzle is easy to attach to the instrument and is intuitive to set up. I wouldn't call this addon a necessity, but if you do a lot of electrical/wiring work it will come in handy.

Good advice is worth a lot for what it is.

I have supplied PPt-6, PPT-7 and PPT-8 for my P2C. These are good tips but expensive for a consumable when a soldering iron with one tip costs about the same as 2 tips. Tip 7 is a much more convenient universal automotive wiring tip than the ppt-6 that P2C comes with. 8 is well suited for large automotive connections, e.g. B. when soldering 4 ga wire to a ring terminal. I hope the big nibs last longer - a standard PPT-6 will burn within a year with just a few projects under its belt.

Difficult to disassemble after use

Just used with Weller P2C to shrink tubing. Worked, but after that it took a hell of a long time to remove the deflector. It was like he was welded to the burner. Finally I disassembled it with two pliers - you need to disassemble it so you can use the plastic threaded sleeve with other tips. Next time I won't use a reflector - it doesn't do much anyway. I carry this flashlight mostly for emergency repairs when AC power isn't available, and it also takes up a lot less space than an electric…
