Great replacement for tools and equipment

Couldn't find the manufacturer part in store mid project. The sponge must have had dry rot. This was quick and finished my boat wax project.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Long delivery time

This is a replacement for the original polishing pad. .

This is a replacement for the original polishing pad. If this one holds up as well as the old one, I won't need another one for 10 years or more.

Pros
  • Beautiful item
Cons
  • Appearance

Doesn't last long - tools and gear

Given the cost, I wish you could just replace the pad rather than the entire assembly. They last longer than fakes but cost the same as better ones. Don't think I'll buy them again when they wear out.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

works fine sas lomg.

They work well as long as you don't put too much pressure on them. 1 of the four I used worked fine. One sold out pretty quickly. Therefore 4 out of 5 stars. I have used them and properly cleaned and stored them when not in use.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

There are much better pads out there

This thing isn't terrible and will get the job done, but the foam is weak and will weaken over time whether you use it or not and forget to clean it . If you lift the buffer off the surface for too long, the foam will explode and fly. Buffer is good but I would recommend other pads with larger open cell foam.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Suffices

High quality buffing and buffing pad

I have owned my Porter 7424 RO cable for about 15 years and only use my private vehicles. IOW, I'm not a professional detailer. However, I use a few pads a year and I will admit that I have tried other brands of pads on a number of occasions. An absolute disappointment every time. These OEM porter cable glands are perfect and not expensive. They slide over your car's paintwork and don't wobble. They apply the wax damn evenly.

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • No machine

Great pillows! - Tools and equipment

Today I used these seals for the first time. I have a Dodge Ram and have waxed with one pad and buffed/removed with the other (I used two total). All that nonsense about pads falling apart. I built my big truck and put a lot of pressure on the random orbital polisher. Aside from looking a bit dirty, the pads look brand new. I would say they hold up very well. I will be ordering a few more as today I applied a little thicker wax than I should have and got my buffing pad a bit wet. Attempting toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

Minus 1 star but the disappointment didn't end there

This was bought to replace one I've had for years. . They were lightly backed upon delivery, which took a little work to buffer. So packaging, minus 1 star, but the disappointment didn't end there. This one won't last many years. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the foam compresses easily and the glue used to stick the foam to the disc has heat issues. It separates and the whole thing becomes unbalanced before the foam separates. I don't know if they've changed glue and/or foam since I'veโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Foam pad separate from disc - First time use

Loved trying it on my new Porter Cable DA bumper. As it was made by the same company I figured it should do the job well - a simple medium cut with a mix to remove some medium-heavy scratches on my car's paintwork. At first I started with a 5 out of 6 setting, but I needed a bit more speed for the hood part. Soon the foam began to break up, bringing down literally white snow. Shortly after the disk began to be pushed into the pad, it came off completely. I didn't even get a full one-time use of

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Wrinkled
