Quality video converter manufacturing

I like this hub because the manufacturing is solid, the connectors are tight and secure, and the switch is precise and reliable. The video is top notch and maintains the quality of the media input. Don't let the small size fool you, this is a high performance product. I hope future updates will support auto-switching for port activity. But right now, manually moving the switch is a breeze.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Little repairability

Does not work with PS4 or XBOX One.

I bought this to connect my XBOX One and PS4 to a computer monitor with built in speakers via an HDMI to DVI adapter. No matter what sound settings were selected on a particular console, or how the switch was set on the box, there was never any sound. Tried with external computer speakers - no sound. Video played well but there is no sound from the 3.5mm output. I am sending it back for a refund.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Absolutely shocked, this thing really works.

I put this between my Xfinity cable box (1080p) and my Sony Bravia 4k TV (2015 model) and was seriously shocked by the simple little box as this cheap one actually does what is advertised . Image quality is definitely sharper, but if you look too close (e.g. 2ft from the screen) you can tell it's a scaled image. The simple solution is to not watch TV from 2 feet away. The display has a resolution of 3840 x 2160p 4K 16:9 instead of the 1080p that the cable box has. I would recommend this to…

There were many problems, only worked a few days.

When I first got it, it worked fine. The picture quality was still good, but the audio signal was weak and I had to use an amplifier to boost the signal. It's okay, as long as it works, I'm fine. But after a few days the device started to act. The image appears and disappears, appears and disappears. I checked several different video output devices (computers, a couple of game consoles, a DVD player) and several different displays (a monitor, a couple of TVs) and an HDMI signal booster to see…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Advantages: 1. It works.2. Combo optical/analog port saves space3. It's small 4. I can turn it on using the USB port5 on my Roku or TV. It still lets sound through, so you can use it to get to the soundbar without muting the TV (see cons). Cons: 1. There is a noticeable delay in audio transmission to the HDMI stream. The audio delay in the HDMI stream makes the audio transmission almost useless. It's out of sync with the audio it puts out through the optical port (and video). So if that's one…
