Excellent sterile petri dishes

These dishes arrived perfectly cast just like I made them myself. I no longer work in a large microbiology lab and use them for a hobby, so finding a source for ready-made, sterile agar petri dishes was a blessing. Less work for me! I kept these bowls in their shipping packaging in the fridge for a week to check for contamination, but NOT ONE. All utensils remained sterile. They're conveniently packaged in groups of five in a sealed plastic bag, so I only have to open five at a time. They went…

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons

Arrived quickly, good delivery, they look as advertised. One plate was actually dirty and a single disc had cracked across the agar side. Surprisingly not polluted. I think it's probably a pollution accident. Probably send for a crack. Bad season to order, plus cv19. I hope the others aren't sterile. They would have to show up now if they weren't. I will update when I hear from support what they will do. Other than the issue, they seem fine. Update: Spoke to support. Very quick response and…

Stored in refrigerator until use. Seven out of ten plates were perfect. Only what I grew grew in them. HOWEVER the sealed pack of three records began to contaminate all three after standing at room temperature in my air chamber still sealed in the pack. My SAB is fully sterile and I have disinfected the packaging with 70% ISO before entering. One oddity about this package was the excessive amount of moisture after it was brought to room temperature, which I think could be the cause. In any…
