Better and cheaper than OEM and even auto repair brands. There was an odor at first, but I think it was the smell of charcoal or maybe manufacturing. The smell went away pretty quickly and didn't bother me anymore. I haven't had to change it yet, but if I have any issues with it I'll update my review.

The old filter was surprisingly dirty so it took some time to replace. This filter was easy to install and fits very well in its compartment. I will be changing this filter more often now knowing how easy it is to replace. Watch the video for your car model and save big money by doing it yourself.

Looks dirty from the packaging but that is due to the activated carbon built into the filter. It's also a bit harder. To install this in my daughter's 2013 Honda Fit, simply open the glove box and pinch the sides to fully open. The filter is behind the glove box.

Installed this filter in my car. It goes well with the filter insert. It mentions that it uses charcoal, but I haven't noticed any difference from my latest non-charcoal filter. Which is supposed to be good - I don't expect any noticeable smells! Installation is easy, airflow works well. This is a fantastic, affordable alternative to OEM or other more expensive filters.

Excellent filter. I live in the mountains so between tree pollen, construction sites, dirt roads, wildfire smoke and bugs I wanted something with extra filters. This filter seems to have I need a house the size of a house. This is a filter that can be changed once a year if desired. When pollination season ends, I shake it out and put it back in. Then I wait until fire season is over to replace them.

I removed my factory filter and inspected both side by side, they look the same with one exception. This one has small plastic dividers that sit on top of the filter media to ensure the individual pleats in the filter media remain evenly separated/spaced which I felt was a great improvement over the factory filter. This filter also contains activated carbon, which is intended to reduce unwanted odours. Excellent value for money and quality.

I am very happy with this air filter for my 16 year old HRV. My car smelled musty even though I kept the interior clean, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to change the AC intake filter. Charcoal is great for filtering odors and this filter did just that. I've only ridden it once since changing the filter and I can already feel the difference. I'm hoping that moving around and circulating air through the filter will remove most of that musty smell. Recommend!
