This preamp is ideal for low-budget audio systems that require little amplification. My problem was that after installing it I had a horribly high pitched treble hum that I just couldn't get rid of. I ended up removing everything together and the hum was gone.

I didn't like the way some of the wires were connected, it just shouldn't have been, but why all those three extra wires you had to connect made it practically look like shit ugly thing nobody wants to see all those wires coming out the back of their stereo just to say

I added this to my homemade boombox that uses car audio gear (2 amps, 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer). As a preamp it worked very well. Takes a bluetooth dongle or phone and amplifies the signal for the car amplifier to receive and process. This allowed for much better control over sound, volume and quality compared to connecting the phone directly to a large amp.

Works - I use it on my boat in place of a multi-amp head unit for internal speakers, tower and subwoofer. The only downside is that it splits the volume between the subwoofer output and the other outputs. A bit clumsy, but I did it by selecting everything and just using the volume on my phone instead of the "connected" volume control. Otherwise, unplug the power cord and the subwoofer will continue to run at full volume. A small point of criticism.

At first I was very happy with it. The sound quality was great, the price was great and everything worked exactly how I needed it to. About a year later the sound in my car just stopped and I found out it was the equalizer. When in doubt, I bought him another one. This one just let me down after only 4 months. So I am very disappointed with this equalizer and would recommend buying something else if you intend to use it regularly.

This product has been in my car for 4 months. The first one I received must be defective. I had no sound, just white noise. we used it and it worked great. When I emailed the company they were thrilled they did the right thing and sent me a new one and I enjoyed it very much, very clear sound, I don't want to sound like an exaggeration but it seems like mine have Standard speakers get a little boost, definitely recommended
