Oh, should that work?

My second drive in less than a year. So today I installed this on a GMT400 Suburban. Easy to install. After installation, I found that the power output is much lower than the OEM. He literally couldn't open the rear passenger door lock all at once! I took my door apart twice to see what was going on. In the end nothing, just a flimsy Chinese door lock. I have rebuilt and cleaned my 20 year old block and all is good. I threw this in the spare parts box.

Powerful Motor Fits

Perfect fit for my 1999 Chevy Astro. I was concerned about the drive's performance as others had had bad reviews of it. My old drive worked about half the time. I tried oiling and repairing the lock but that didn't work. The new actuator has no problems with locking and unlocking (yet). The device came with its own mount. I used 1/4 screws to install it. I owned this van not long ago but it was obvious the actuator had been replaced before. Mounting holes perfectly matched. For $20 why not?

Pros
  • Replacement Door Lock Actuator - Driver and Passenger Side, Front or Rear - The power door lock actuator is located in the doors and controls the vehicle's locks. Each door has its own drive. If the door in your car won't lock or open, the problem is most likely due to a faulty actuator. This drive fits any front or back of many models.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Perfect replacement

Replaced my Chevy Astro's passenger electric door lock. The original actuator no longer had enough force to lock or unlock the door. This replacement unit fits and works perfectly. There is a small plastic tab on the electrical connection of the plug that I had to file down to fit the socket. Removal took only a minute. I used two short bolts instead of rivets to reattach the new actuator to the door. I had a packet of replacement plastic door panel clips that I had previously used to replace a

Pros
  • LIFETIME WARRANTY - The electric door lock actuator comes with a lifetime warranty. If your C1500, Yukon, Cherokee, Comanche, Bravada, Calais or Grand Prix drive ever fails, simply contact us for a replacement.

Fits perfectly. On engines,

We needed this because both of the front door lock solenoids on our Tahoe have failed. We locked it by hand but it was tight. If I open the door to clean the latch, I might as well replace the solenoids. There are negative reviews that they are not strong enough. They are very strong. Most likely, the locking mechanism is jammed. It needs to be cleaned and oiled. It will not fix neglect in other parts. The stop bar should move easily. If not, fix the problem. You will need to flip the brace to…
