🔥 Enhanced Performance Front Calipers - Power Stop S1704 Review

I bought these for my 1992 Miata they don't quite fit! The caliper mounts are too high, the pads sit on top of the rotors so I had to use old mounts that were color matched so they could be used instead.

Terrible quality! The paint was peeling, all shoes cracked from regular use, after 1 year of use there were no traces left. A brake caliper began to leak. UPDATE: Good customer service. Powerstop replaced all 4 calipers. The ones that came seem to be of better quality.

Bought to replace 18 year old OEM calipers on a Mazda Miata (NB) Fits perfectly on the car for a year with no problems and the paint is still as red and shiny as it is was the day I installed it. Highly recommended. Installed with Slotted/Drilled Power Stop Rotor Ceramic Seal Kit. Great brake upgrade!

For a refurbished Amazon these calipers are amazing. So far they have spent up to two track days. Everything is very well lubricated and assembled. I only had to adjust one of the boots a bit, but minimally. For the price you can't go wrong and that's what you need for 1.6 to 1.8 brakes. (Just grab the 1.8 discs and pads for this and you're done) They work in 1.6 by reusing your old mounts.

The Power Stop front calipers did not fit the 'stock' discs on my Miata 19090. The caliper bracket actually moved the pad to the point that it did where the outer edge of the pad was 3/16 inch outside of the factory brake disc. This mounting bracket must be from a different year Miata (mine is a 1990 car) or maybe it's from an 'aftermarket' caliper manufacturer who cares far less about small details like 'proper fit'.
