A little over a year later, both are in poor shape (the wire that creates the curved shape above the ear has snapped through the rubber sleeve on both headphones, and the remote part on the other is falling apart). UPDATE: A year later I fixed it with super glue to hold everything together. The controller falls apart. Also, the battery only lasts 3 hours even when fully charged. It's still usable for regular use, but no longer for the gym, running, or anything else involving exercise or sweating. It's still good but the quality is really bad for a slightly expensive product.
