didn't work as easily as I had hoped

did not work as easily as I had hoped The brake bleeder fittings are quite loose making it difficult to maintain a vacuum. Bypassing the connectors and just using the hose didn't help. I'm pretty mechanical and either lacked some necessary instructions or just didn't get it.

Pros
  • vacuum pressure pump
Cons
  • update availability

Good quality for the price

going from vacuum to pressure by sliding the sleeve forward or at the back of the entrance. The hose that comes with it is stiff, but you can use it. I like this case as all the details are there and organized. The two reservoirs make excellent traps for fluid from the brake lines. I used it with an adapter (from another kit) to create a vacuum in the engine cooling system when I put antifreeze in it, bled it a little but did the job.

Pros
  • Graduated Vacuum Gauge Dual Scale (a) -0.9~+3 bar (b) -26 (inHg) ~40 PSI
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

The perfect tool for the job!

I needed to bleed the clutch system on my little Nissan truck and remembered how painful it was to do it with those little disposable bottles because I had to bleed the clutch damper and slave cylinder separately so I went and bought one of these. All I had to do was hook it up to the bleed valve on the slave cylinder, vacuum it with a bleeder and a small amount of fluid in it, and pump it out to make sure the fluid stayed on top. My clutch pedal is strong and works great and it only took me 15

Pros
  • 2 pcs. - Plastic reservoir (4 oz/120 ml) with 2 different reservoir caps.
Cons
  • Hard to say

In my case it's a waste of money

It's a tough choice. On the one hand, the Powerbuilt 648744 vacuum pump looks good. On the other hand, it's really not very practical or efficient. Its cylinder volume (the amount of air moved in one stroke) is just too small to be of much use. Powerbuilt's volume is sufficient to bleed car brakes, but there is another issue related to bleeding. The vacuum bleed causes air to flow through the bleed screw in the line to the powerbuilt. This creates an endless stream of bubbles when the pump isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Made to be the most reliable tool on the market today
Cons
  • Some bugs
