Bought for UK travel, USB ports not working properly.

I bought this for travel in the UK, I live in the US. Yes, I needed an adapter to plug it into an outlet, but that's not a problem. USB ports do not provide clean power for charging phones. This was tested on four different iPhones and they all gave the same results: poor charging and the phone cannot be used while charging. When I used Apple supplied power adapters, it charged well and the phone could be used while charging. My suggestion is to avoid all of these together.

Great for Rome - power distributor

Took this to Rome, Italy and it worked great. It was perfect to plug in and put on a table or bedside table. It allows you to connect both regular plugs and cords to charge your phone. I was able to charge both my wife and phones at the same time using two Bluetooth devices and charging an external battery. Oh, and I could hook up a lamp to it at the same time!

Approved. Yes, this is a great detachable cord extender.

Despite all the negative reviews, this extension cord is amazing (in my opinion). I don't normally write reviews but I've seen all the negative reviews and felt the need to add my 2 cents. Yes it's not a voltage converter but it looks like the description has been updated. Reasons it's great: 1) more than enough outlets 2) USB charges super fast 3) detachable cable for easy portability AND the ability to purchase a longer cable (I have a 10ft and 15ft 14 Bought gauge wire so I'm not restricted…

Travelers Must Have

Ideal for travel abroad and at home! I was in Tuscany, Switzerland, Portugal for a week and this little thing saved my life. My travel companion had terrible times trying to get her hair dryer/iron and phones working because her extension cord kept breaking circuits. I especially liked that it has USB ports! Nice power strip + USB charger, but USB charger reliability is questionable

Essentially a nice power strip with 4 outlets and 4 USB charging ports. It doesn't convert the voltage to 110V. The USB charging ports worked fine for a few days and then mysteriously stopped working, basically leaving us with a rather expensive 4-outlet power strip and a headache to plug into outlets on our recent trip to charge our phones. Luckily it's still within the return window so it's coming back.
