2 Failed at 3 and 18 months. Need a deep electrical box.

I have this installed on a band saw with a 13 amp motor @ 115 VAC and a table saw rated at 7 amp @ 220 VAC. easy to connect. Works on 220V AC. It has 2 strokes so you can switch between hot and neutral or both phases of the 220V line. The start button has a very secure latch and the latch paddle works great. Paddle or Knob: The stop paddle is easily removed to simplify installation or if you just want to use the stop button instead of a manipulator. Good price: only about $11, they are cheap…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

It looked very nice and I read a lot of reviews.

Bought this switch to fix an old Grizzly TSC-10L table saw. Looks very good and I read a lot of reviews before buying. Let's just say that the reviewers who said this shifter is too big for a full-size box are absolutely correct. It's too big, but there's an even more annoying problem. Contacts inside are not soldered from dust. A few weeks after installation I had to take it apart to remove the sawdust inside and it worked again for a couple of weeks before failing again. This time I tore it…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

I haven't used the switch yet, but am ready to install it after tomorrow's changes. Several comments have complained that the switch does not fit in any box or only fits after conversion. I took the breaker to an electronics store because I figured they might have the 'special' boxes needed to install the breaker that your regular big box store doesn't have. There is NO box that the switch fits in. The spacing between the centers of the mounting screws is about half a hole too wide to use…

Pros
  • PURPOSE OF KIT: Provides you with a master or emergency safety switch to protect your table saws, drill presses, belt sanders, dressers, dust collectors and other woodworking machines.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I am giving it four stars because it looks good and works much better now that it is installed. than the old one ever did. I have it on my Grizzly 1022 table saw. The manual says 30 amps for the switch. The original looks like it's good for half of those, and indeed, the original switch eventually concocted and wouldn't turn off. This one is much more powerful. Its installation was a royal pain. The switch housing is slightly larger than the old one. I had to take my dremel and sand off about…

Looks like a good safety switch.

. Likely this switch was not intended for installation in a single box, but rather for an industrial installation such as a drill press, band saw, table saw. wherein the receiving body is sized for proper fit. The connection is very simple, follow the wiring diagram. From your power supply (LINE), install the LINE hot (black) and neutral (white) wires on the side labeled "LINE" and do the same for the wires going to the motor on the LEAD side. Very simple but some people overlook it. If you…
