Ultimate Bandsaw Powerhouse: POWERTEC Grizzly Craftsman Rockwell Bandsaw Unleashed! Review

We bought this machine to trim some hardwoods but it didn't cut pine which I had to test it with. Very unfazed by how sharp this blade was, it cuts just as well as the blade I replaced (the one I hit the nail with). I would not recommend this to anyone planning to saw, I would recommend CircleSaw, their band saws are clearly unbeatable for the price.

I used a Resaw King blade in my Laguna 1412 after it broke a second time (I paid to have it repaired and sharpened but it broke after a short time) I dropped it and tried this one. It does a great job with everything I throw at it. It makes a nice clean cut when sawing thick wood and also seems to follow the wood a bit better than the Woodslicer and Resaw King blades.

I tensioned this blade using the flutter method (search YouTube or Google) which resulted in much less tension than my saw recommended. The result is perfect repetitive cuts in hardwoods (jatoba and maple) and less heat build-up. I don't know how much is due to the blade and how much is due to less tension, but it's like getting a new saw. It can be classified as a cheap blade but cuts like an expensive one.

Reorder; Bought a year or two ago, still usable (since I'm no longer a professional user) but not for "precise" work. Purchased May 2019 Update July 4th. Finally installed a new blade. unfortunately it doesn't cut straight, it pulls inwards as if the teeth were only set and sharpened on one side. DISSATISFIED! I've put thousands of feet of lumber through my bandsaw with a 3/8 blade. I chose 3/4 x 40 because I had a lot of 2" oak for one order. Chairs I've assembled other blades I've tried, worked great, never had display issues, I don't cut wood just for fun I've tried pine-oak plywood in every thickness over 1/2 inch, it struggles and wants to get stuck in my bandsaw with very little pressure

Really crappy blade. Bad weld, the blade runs. Can't be bloody recut. Would have returned it but waited to use until I had to switch from a wood cutting blade to aluminum which I had to cut. I have an Olson 6 t/d spreader blade that works better than this blade but I wanted more t/d for a smoother cut. This Powertec blade does not appear to be of the same quality as the Olson blade and a 25 year old Delta 14 inch saw with Powertec blade vibrates severely.
