Works great but instructions are a bit lacking. I called tech support and they told me that thin washers that bother me so much are not needed in every application. What's wrong with the instructions? It would have saved me hours and a lot of frustration.

This assembly required some minor machining to install. The coupling, which included the guide pins, was undersized. The hole where had to be reamed .248" to .250" for the drive pins to fit. The springs for the pins were bent where the machine had cut them. I had to fix them. They prevented the pins from returning with a spring. Management was the most disappointing. The photocopy could be read until dark. But otherwise I'm satisfied.

Installed this locker in the back of my Durango 03 and took it off-road. Made a world of difference in the dirt! Dang almost unstoppable! The installation was fine. There are no instructions and it is written in generic terms, so YouTube helped. Handling isn't as badly affected as I've heard/read. For less than $350 I drove my truck through a 3 foot ditch without the slightest hesitation. For half the price of a Detroit Locker I'd say it's worth every penny, especially having had several Detroit Lockers in the past and both of them broke in less than 50,000 miles. It's actually pretty easy to install and all you have to do is pull out the axle shaft on the passenger side to swap it out, not both sides with no backlash or bearing preload or other extra things that require extra lockers. .

I installed and ran Detroit transmissions and lockers for 20 years with no problems until I got the C-Clip style Detroit 9.25.
