buy you! You will love them.

These have a wide range of shades and are smooth on construction paper, especially Strathmore quality paper. These pens can go as deep, dark and black as your heart desires.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Works well for small hands

They are perfect for my budding young artists to get the charcoal experience without much mess. I found the perforation of the paper was not the best and ended up with very long open ends. Wasn't a problem as they are durable.

Pros
  • also understandable for old people
Cons
  • for seniors

Does what it should.

These things just do what they're supposed to and I love them for it. No frills, no thrills, just average sound in a comfortable package that lives up to expectations. I haven't had any problems with hard spots and they have a consistent tone. I can't ask for more.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not automatic

It works for me for drawing, painting and art supplies

When I ordered this product I expected it to work like charcoal. While it doesn't work quite like grapevine charcoal, I really like this product. It's much neater and cleaner than charcoal. This is a nice addition to my charcoal drawing. Charcoal is my favorite painting material and this product makes it so much better. I don't use medium charcoal very often, but when I do it annoys me that the paper doesn't unfold as easily and requires an Exacto knife.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I will write later

Prang is one of those companies that can really compete with prismacolor for their money on certain products. That's great. Soft, really reliable. Very easy to sharpen with a razor (I use a utility knife). Soft enough to get with an elastomeric eraser and not tear the paper. I've dropped a few and they don't usually break the core. And cheap to download. I take them to my body shaping classes and a few other people have gradually moved away from the generals (they are awesome but more expensive

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

This old artist LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Soft Prang charcoal pencils!

When I hear about the Prang brand, I think of painting supplies for children. However, this is not the case with these charcoal pencils. I'm an artist over 60 and I just love them. I generally prefer paper-wrapped charcoal because it's very difficult to sharpen charcoal with a knife when working on one piece. Forget sharpening a charcoal in a pencil sharpener as these will break a million times before you get a good point, if you get one at all. If a charcoal stick falls on the ground and…

Pros
  • Nice to use
