I decided to return to cross stitch to take my mind off electronics. This part is the perfect start. Its large and colored thread makes things simple and easy. I recommend getting a big tire to help. Once I'm done I have to decide if I want to make a pillow out of it or frame it!

I love the Alice in Wonderland theme so I hope it works well. My first project was an unstamped, colorful design, so it seems pretty easy in comparison. It's just black and the chart is basically a complete cross so it should be ready soon. The color of the stamp is clearly visible and they also have a grid printed on it. I'll update another photo when it's done. Update: I used 4 threads and the thread ran out. But it was readily available at Michaels so I finally finished the cross stitch :)

It's just wonderful. It's 25 1/2 x 25. It's a good size. My camera is not transmitting this correctly. If you love cross stitch, you will love it. Nice design and color. The whole picture is a lot bigger than I thought so this isn't the part that needs to be done over the weekend. It will probably take at least 6-8 weeks. I would give this 5 stars but in some places the colors on the squares are blurry. Also, flossing seems like seconds. There are clumps that look like fluff, but are attached to a single thread and cannot be cut off. These parts should not be used as the seams will look lumpy. After almost 30 years without embroidery I have decided to take up this hobby again. It wasn't until I bought it that I found out it was a Bothy Threads fake hence the one star removed from the review. For me, as for the "old beginner", it fits in all respects. Even though it wasn't pre-printed, the included template and instructions are simple enough for a beginner's project. It looks like there should be enough thread, the instructions are clear, and the pattern is simple and straightforward.
