I purchased 4 boxes of these for a school supply. One of the box came opened and a pencil was missing and couldn't be found in an envelope. Not a big deal but bit frustrated.

A pencil is a pencil. But the HARD lead pencil offers many advantages, particularly to an outdoorsman. Ballpoint and soft pencil writing gets washed off and blurred when wet, but the #3 pencil imprint stays put. Imagine leaving a note on the path describing where you are going and rescue folks can't read it because the paper got wet. Also #3 pencils do not have to be sharpened as often and last longer. The teachers at my kids school only recommend this brand of pencils. That says a lot right there. They are long lasting. Soft lead may not be suitable for precise or technical work!

Pencils ok for the price, but they arrived with 96 pencils out of the box. Either cheap boxes or horrible packing or both.
