My Favorite Pencils to Use

I have been using these for years, they are by far my favorite pencils to use. I use a decent amount of pressure when I write, sot he #3 is by far the best option for me. It holds up to the way I write without breaking, and yet is still dark enough to read well. The harder the lead usually the lighter the writing is. The #3 pencils also are much cleaner to use, does not leave all the dust on the page when writing, drawing, etc.The other thing that I consistently see with these is that the leads

Pros
  • I use it for projective geometry which involves tracing a lot of straight lines and points
Cons
  • These are great pencils, but to be fair, the pre-sharpen is tiny and dull like a golf pencil.

Excellent pencils for Drawing

I bought these pencils for art. They work excellently. they Aren't as hard as the typical #2 meaning they are perfect for drawing preliminary sketches and guidelines. They aren't as dark as the #2 so they easier to erase but still dark enough were they lay down a solid visable line. They also hold a point longer and have a longer lifespan than a #2. I use them for art but they work great for writing as well. I prefer them over the #2 for most tasks(I still use the #2 for shading and when I want

Pros
  • Perfect for teachers as they are pre-sharpened. Just what our teachers asked for.
Cons
  • Yellow barrels may reflect light in certain environments

Smaller diameter and poor wood quality

I needed a harder lead to do some woodworking, the harder lead creates a sharper finer line than a #2.This pencil lead (graphite) is harder and does provide a finer line. I haven't found the lead to be an issue, however the wood is another thing. The wood does not cut/sharpen smoothly leaving a very rough surface. I sharpened them using an Bostitch crank sharpener which in my experience has always been the best. The worst issue for me is the pencil outer diameter is smaller that the older pencils

Pros
  • Teachers love these pencils. The quality and durability are top notch. It’s always my pencil of choice.
Cons
  • Lack of variety in color or style options

Best pencils ever - my new review

These are the best pencils you can get. They write so nice, and they sharpen beautifully. This is a great value! That's my feedback.

Pros
  • These are the best pencils you can buy!
Cons
  • Soft lead can smudge easily

Great pencils in my review

The teachers at my kids school only recommend this brand of pencils. That says a lot right there. They are long lasting. These are the best pencils.!

Pros
  • These are the best pencils.
Cons
  • Pre-sharpened pencils may not be as precise as those sharpened manually

Not soft enough best in my review

I like a really soft lead that is easy to show up on paper.almost to the point of smearing.this one does not show up on paper and alittle disappointing.

Pros
  • The are the absolute best pencils! My daughter uses them for school and won’t use another brand!
Cons
  • Cheap construction can lead to easily broken pencils

Best Pencils I've Found

As a former high school/middle school teacher and now a mom of an elementary student, I have seen many pencils. The Ticonderoga brand is definitely the best. They sharpen well, write well, and erase well. They are a little pricey, so stock up on them if they are on sale!

Pros
  • These pencils are of high quality. I highly recommend purchase and I will definitely buy more.
Cons
  • Soft lead may not work well on certain paper types

HANDIER THAN A BOTTLE OPENER IN A BAR FIGHT

These genuine #2 Ticonderoga pencils are what John Wick dreams are made of. These are carried by elite special operations groups such as Delta Force, DEVGRU(Seal Team Six), and U.S. Army Rangers to name a few. Have no fear, when your trusty Ticonderoga pencil is near!

Pros
  • These make is a lot easier when you have a kiddo who goes through pencils
Cons
  • The box may be difficult to open or close

What can a pencil do for all of us?

I bought those pencils to use at work, and the color yellow reminded me of back to school days. I am a pencil person, and writing and sketching with Ticonderoga #2HB is enjoyable!Writing with the pencil is fun. It feels slender and well balanced. The lines are decently dark for the #2HB and the feedback is soft and smooth. In my writing time with this pencil so far I did not ever feel any sort of sand or grit in the lead as I do with the cheap pencils at work. The Ticonderoga #2HB left a better

Pros
  • It sharpens equally, and it’s worth every penny
Cons
  • The eraser is too small to be effective

Great pencils best in my review

These are great pencils for drawing or writing, for adults or kids. I personally think they're some of the best pencils on the market. They write smooth and erase easily.

Pros
  • This one suits me for painting.
Cons
  • Yellow barrels may be too plain or uninteresting for some preferences

You had me at Pre-Sharpened!

I got these on Prime day. Great price! Ticonderoga is a respected brand at my school. And pre-sharpened saves the sanity of any adult.

Pros
  • This was a great deal
Cons
  • Yellow barrels may not be suitable for certain projects or assignments

Dull- old stock on my review.

I orderded three boxes, and each box was well worn out with about 30% of the pencils dulled down. The inside of the boxes were covered in graphite, so I assume these are old boxes that have been handled a lot.

Pros
  • It sharpens equally, and it’s worth every penny
Cons
  • Yellow barrels may not fit certain aesthetic preferences

Buy elsewhere best in my review

The pencils finally arrived. And they work just as expected. Ticondergo is a well-trusted brand. however, having them ship through Revain was a pain in the butt! If you can find it in person, I would recommend that. It isn’t worth the hassle of expecting it to be delivered via UPS/Revain. Plus, if the package is dropped or handled poorly, the lead inside will break. And the wasteful packaging - don’t get me started! One of my poorest experiences ordering on Revain.Original The pencils are poor…

Pros
  • These pencils are great I'm gonna order some more
Cons
  • The yellow barrels may fade or discolor in sunlight

Best pencils ever!: my feedback

Best pencils ever! These pencils are great. They don’t break, they stay sharp for a reasonable time and the eraser works good too! These are the only pencils I buy.

Pros
  • This is going to keep buying back.
Cons
  • The box may not be as durable as the pencils

Great pencils in my review

These are great pencils for drawing or writing, for adults or kids. I personally think they're some of the best pencils on the market. They write smooth and erase easily.

Pros
  • Look no further for the best pencil created!
Cons
  • Yellow barrels may have a slight odor

the package was defect, no pencil sharepen was in the box,

i purchased because it had a sharpener included, it did not have one, no longer have the old fashioned type of sharpener i had as a child to sharpen a pencil at home,

Pros
  • Writes/draws nicely. The erasers actually work unlike cheap pencils.
Cons
  • Soft lead may not provide enough clarity for photocopying or scanning

All the rage. - my new review

I work in the school system and the teachers at my school joke about how kids better not take their Ticonderoga. After buying pencils with erasers that don’t work and lead that breaks when sharpening, I ordered these. Now I see what the fuss is about! they come sharpened and write so smoothly! It almost feels more like a pen with how it glides. Added bonus - the eraser works AND I can even sharpen them.

Pros
  • Very nice pencils for the money! Erasers are sturdy and long lasting!
Cons
  • Soft lead may not provide enough contrast for bold or dark writing

#3 all the way good for me

I use these pencils for laying out trim work. #2's are junk. I prefer the consistency of gel pens but painters complain. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Really good pencils
Cons
  • Soft lead can be difficult to erase completely

Just Pencils Folks!

Plain, simple, ordinary but inherently useful pencils to have on hand when you need them. I have sharpened one so far and it held up well in the electric pencil sharpener showing that the lead was nice and straight. Have not used the eraser so can not speak to that. I just wanted a box of these available in my kitchen catch-all drawer so when I needed a pencil I knew where to look. If I have a serious need of a pencil for serious drawing then I trek to my studio where I have every density known

Pros
  • Got them for school
Cons
  • Sharpening the pencils can be messy and time-consuming

Size matters on my review.

The Dixon Ticonderoga Wood Cased Black Core #2 HB pencil is the one I look for when I buy pencils for myself and for my kids. I do a lot of note-writing and sketching in conjunction with my job, and this pencil feels good to write with, has exactly the softness of graphite that I prefer, and it even smells good. My son mentioned the smell. I had gotten him the Economy Dixon pencils for school, and he says those ones smell like paint. One reason why I chose to write this review, was to compare…

Pros
  • Good brand
Cons
  • Soft lead may not be suitable for intricate or detailed work
