A cheaper alternative to the garage.

Normal for the price. Cheaper than a car service. Could drill 4 x 40mm holes in 1/8" steel with no problems, but performance decreased over time. Significant wear was noticeable after that.

Pros
  • Step drill
Cons
  • Requires socket

Good for the price: Cutting tools

In the end the job was done. Very blunt so I had to rock it back and forth for a while before it went through, but I was able to shape the plywood in that time so I'm not mad about that. If you don't mind some extra work and aren't very precise, this will work.

Pros
  • Cutting tools
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Enlarges holes, fast and dirty!

Two existing toolbox openings enlarged large enough to accommodate sockets and power cords. It happened as expected. However, the back of each new hole was not cleanly cut; The end result simulated friction drilling, leaving almost enough material to cut the threads. A simple solution with a grinder. I don't know if it's the fault of the step drill or my own feed as it's the largest of the many step drills I've used. The job is done, the tool is not broken. Maw, it works.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Drill Pack
