Description of Ultimate Precision: Uncoated Carbide Drill by Precision Twist

Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholding systems. Uncoated tools feature just the base substrate without any additional treatment or coatings and are suitable for a wide range of applications. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of toolholding systems. When run in a counterclockwise direction (right-hand cut) spiral fluted tools evacuate chips up and out of the cut to reduce clogging. Standard length.

Wolverine of Drills

This thing is very bad! Using the same drill, which is pretty hard at 7.5 amps, this drill went through hardened steel like it was wood, LOL! And I was just blown away, it didn't rip on day one, which is typical for me and was predicted by a lot of reviewers. So why 4 stars? Well the tip has a few dents from day one, from regular use, no stains or dents so I expect the bit will be useless after another day's work and at a top price you'll lose a star for should the deal.

Like Drilling Oil

So I had to make a Mekugi hole in the shaft of the katana I was assembling. Here's the problem: the blade was almost hardened carbon steel 1060. I used a regular drill and not only did the drill dull, but all I did was make a mark where I was going to make a hole anyway. I was concerned about only getting a carbide tipped drill as the shank was thick so I went with all of that. Essentially it was like a regular drill going through wood, perhaps with little effort. later only the ridges around…

Pretty good on drill bits

Hello, I don't know much about drill bits except that they make holes in things. For example, until recently I didn't know about the various twists, flutes, etc. However, I have some training that requires the use of drills, and only for metal, only standard carbon steel of varying hardness. The first one took quite a long time, and part of that time I had to dry drill. Milling like with conventional titanium drills bought in hardware stores is no longer necessary and the drilling time is…
