Works, assembly instructions could be better.

This has worked well to provide my own Wi-Fi on a college campus where the general Wi-Fi is often congested or has poor signal. Giving 1 star because it took some online research to figure out how to set it up, the instructions aren't entirely clear (you need to connect it via ethernet in client mode and then open the IP address in a web browser), but once I set it up, it only remains to connect and use. Since the two most common methods of using this device (providing a hotspot and converting…

Great product with suggestions for improvement

This works much better than the wireless range extender I used initially. The only thing that would improve this product is if they just put a container in it so you could reuse the same outlet. This appears to be a small change that will be relatively easy to implement.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Modern

Used to connect an Xbox 360 to a wireless network

Purchased to connect an Xbox 360 to a wireless network. The client mode guide is very confusing. What you need to do is the following. You need a PC with an Ethernet connection and enabled DHCP. Set the switch on the router to "Client mode". By default, DHCP is enabled on the router. Allow your computer to obtain an IP address from the router. Then go to the web administration page and connect to the wireless network in the "Site Overview" section. Turn your router off and on again, and then…

Waste of time and money

This product is a waste of time and money. It is not possible to create a closed network and there is no point in contacting premiertek.net. Another person found the same issues and support, NONE. I need something that will allow me to create a closed network between my DSLR and my iPad. This POWERLINK PT-AP2403 7-in-1 802.11b/g/n Mini Wireless Travel RouterAP Router/Repeater/Client/Bridge/Relay is not working. Revain should remove vendors that do not endorse their products.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Not the best

Deleted after 5 hours

Spent 5 hours setting it up. It hit me half to death. It has seven different modes and all I could get was none of them. Good thing it was cheap so I didn't lose much by dropping it. Spend more money and get the D-Link DIR-505L. Start in 10 minutes.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Can I add something

Great for getting WiFi from MyFi!

I know the title of this review sounds like a rhyme scheme, but that's why I'm ordering it. This product has a 3-position switch to toggle between multiple functions, but I mainly use it in "Wireless Client" mode - to receive WiFi signals from a cellular hotspot and route them to a regular router. Then, despite the "limitation" of a typical access point being shared by 5 or 10 computers, the nearest router will share with other computers from now on. Out of the box, the IP4 address on this unit

3 hours later it's in the trash.

I've never seen anything so complicated in my entire life - called tech support and they basically said it was so complicated they couldn't help much. 3 hours later it's in the trash.

Pros
  • Handsome
Cons
  • A little wrinkled
