The stands are easy to assemble and work as expected. Of course it's only been 2 days since I installed it so we'll wait and see if there are any problems. I would give 5 stars if I knew for sure there would be no problems later.

I was concerned at first thinking I could fold it by hand but then I realized how much force the hood is exerting and fitted it. They work great and keep the hood open even at 50%. I think if I could compress them by hand they would be just as bad as the ones I replaced :)
