🔧 Advanced Carbide Tipped Tool by Sherline Review

I was having trouble finding bits for an old lathe and they turned up right when I searched. The first bit I used worked great.

Cosmetic = OK, regular cheap paint, not a big factor for me Carbide = Durable, no chipping. Well soldered. Properly sanded, although it can be sanded a little. Has correct clearance angles. Even has a small "rounded" tip to prevent chipping of the carbide tip. Will definitely buy again.

I liked the cheap price. But I was a little surprised to see that the carbide wasn't cemented without enough protrusion to give the tool clearance. I needed to grind at a better angle so the carbide would cut without hitting the holder. But now they work fine. For costs. What can I say. Good starter kit. And the cutter identification number engraved on the side of the tool is very faint, if there is one. Hence the identification part is missing hence I dropped to 4 stars. Not really big…
