Great Deal: Exhaust and Emissions

This piece of injection molded rubber is $89! In Autozone and Advanced I try to buy American and local but damn I thought they meant the entire intake system with that quote. We are talking about Camery 01 with Briggs 2.2L 3/4 HP and Stratton/Shopvac engine lol. I can literally replace all 5 pieces for $89 and have enough left over to fill the tank. Finally thanks to Revain bc I would have made one of the paper towel and duck tape tubes if I hadn't found these. ;)

Pros
  • Great for a Small Home
Cons
  • Bad Impression

Great Replacement Hose

This is a great replacement for the 2000 Toyota Camry Air Intake Hose. All connections went without a hitch, the quality of the rubber is excellent. Note that the small side hole pictured below leads into a hose that attaches to the top box of the resonator. This hose will not detach from the resonator and if you cannot detach the old air intake hose from the resonator hose you will need to replace the upper resonator box entirely. Not too difficult but additional expense and inconvenience.

  • New
Cons

quality part. for parts

The hose is a quality part that fits the 2001 Toyota Camry perfectly. No complaints. If you need this part, chances are your original hose has snapped and needs to be replaced. After removing this tubing, you can see that it detaches perfectly from everything except the resonator tubing. In my experience, it is almost impossible to remove the Original Equipment resonator hose from the Original Equipment air intake hose fitting without tearing or breaking it. You will then need to look to Revain

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin

Check your original first

Ok I have a 1999 Japanese built Camry with a 2.2 liter engine. Yes this list is for newer models as they made some changes after 1999. The difference for me was that the air resonator was originally in a different location. I have it next to the airbox, not on the throttle body. However, I was able to do this with a Fernco cap. The next difference is the size. The hose on the throttle body appears to be about 2 inches long. It is in order. The difference is that my airbox size is also 2 inches.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
