Not quite replacement

Although this is the correct length the fittings at the end of the cylinder are straight and not slightly angled. Secure attachment to the vehicle is not possible in this configuration. 2007 Explorers tailgate

Pros
  • Niche best
Cons
  • Expensive

Poor quality shock absorbers, struts and suspension

I installed a new tailgate lifter 5 days ago and was surprised. When I opened the back door today, one elevator was broken and the other almost a brake. Any proposal ?. Super bad quality! $75 goes in the trash.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • old

Explorers 2004-2010? Then do not order this part!

Not even close. Too bad I didn't try to install them right away because now I'm stuck with parts that don't even remotely fit or fit into the 2008 explorer, they were "guaranteed to fit". 😡

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Speed

NO DIRECT REPLACEMENT!

sunroof lift cylinders are NOT a direct replacement. The mounting bushing on the end of the cylinder was not angled like the original, making installation difficult and putting stress on the cylinder assembly. I will return them if I can't swap the sockets from the old ones.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Functionality

does not fit my Ford Explorer 2007 XLT 4.6

Cheap nameless Chinese junk, no vehicle standards stamped, no markings. Will not fit all 2006-2010 Ford Explorers at all due to the lack of an OEM corner connector. Ordered an OEM from a Ford parts dealer.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Disappear

Doesn't fit my 2009 Explorer

They had to replace tailgate lift rods for my '09 Explorer. They arrived quickly and appeared to be of good quality. However, they were too long to fit. They installed quickly, but I was disappointed to find the back door didn't close with them. They were too long. So go back.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • No automatic

Tailgate pillars do not fit 2008 Ford Explorer

Tailgate pillars do not fit 2008 Ford Explorer! I see many people saying the same thing about their 2006-2010 Explorers. Why are they still sold as FIT for Explorer but they don't work? They are about an inch longer. Now I have to reset and send back the old ones. Very discouraging.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity
