🥗 Progressive Prepworks Salad Spinner - 4 Quart Review

This is one of the most reliable spinners I have ever had. Unfortunately, the cable on my previous device became frayed and eventually broke. But I used it for 6 months. The spinner works well and the bowl can be used for serving.

Only used 6 times and the string frayed and snapped. I've had one for 6 years claiming to be from the same manufacturer so I bought it and immediately noticed a difference in quality. I bought 2 and the other one was also starting to wear out. I'm sad. I loved my first.

Works great! I love how it dries spinach and other veggies. My 9 year old can use it and even likes to play with it 😁 Update 18.05.21. Rating downgraded to 2 stars. The bottom of the mixing bowl is cracked, the quality is poor. Should last a lot longer. Buying something better is my recommendation.

After 2 months of use the cable started to slip and would no longer catch the basket to keep it spinning. Too bad because I bought this one to replace the same one (although mine didn't have a rubber base) which has served me well for many years. In the end the rope broke and although my DH was able to replace it, the plastic part inside eventually broke and could not be repaired. This salad bowl is trash. The cable broke on the second use. I didn't pull hard either, the string got stuck in the hole as the internal spring wound it and that was enough to damage it and then it broke when I pulled it out. I called Progressive Int. As some people mention here, they did when it happened to them and they wanted $9 for a new cap plus shipping and handling.
