Pressman 2104 04 DVD Board Game Review

I bought this game thinking it would be fun to try as my wife and I are 24 big fans. After 20 minutes I was disappointed. and my wife gave it up completely. The game consists of very little reasoning and basically follows patterns that the game displays on screen and you have to re-enter the game in various frustratingly complex and poorly explained ways in order to progress. Don't waste your money. I agree with everyone else. The concept of the game is great, but some of the missions on the DVD are almost impossible to complete. Figuring out codes is fine, but trying to sneak past a security camera or security laser beams is completely arbitrary. The reaction of the green dot (agent) does not correspond to pressing the arrow button on the DVD remote control. We hit it many times and the dot moved when it wanted to and was always in the field of view of the camera…

When I picked it up for a dollar sale I didn't have high hopes for this game. But boy was I wrong! This has to be one of the best executed and thoughtful games I've ever played, Jack Bauer's voice acting was top notch, the cutscenes were just amazing and the gameplay was second to none. I got this game from my wife for Christmas and we were all excited to sit down and try it today. Game experience was disappointing. Unfortunately, the game is a frustrating interface game rather than a difficult puzzle to solve. We started from day one and found out what others have commented. Response times are often slow, and you're looking for a "golden point" to click the remote, taking latency into account.
