🔌 Efficient and Stylish: Presto 06620 11-Inch Electric Skillet in Black/White Review

Great idea, pretty serviceable frying pan but after 6 months the non-stick coating wore off. Even with relatively low heat and washing with a soft sponge, this device does not last long. I replaced it with a Proctor Silex which looks remarkably like a duplicate. After similar careful use, it developed an electrical problem at the point where the controller plugs in. One of the contacts has deteriorated and is destroying the controller's connection hole. Warmth!

I am temporarily disabled and need to cook on our counter island. This unit works great for most of our meals for two. It takes some skill to learn how to cook with an electric skillet, but I think it's a skill. It fits 4 eggs and has a place to turn. Use butter, butter or spray, nonstick doesn't stick as well and eggs need extra fat to move freely. I've used it five or six times. The size is perfect. I have two really large electric skillets (different brands) that are great, but we need something smaller. This Presto is good in all areas except for two things. Although the lid is deep (ideal for corn-fed chicken or a small roast), it doesn't stain well if you use red sauce and staining doesn't occur. Great little frying pan. my square has a tiny kitchen area so I had to somehow cook my food as I don't have a stove and didn't want the appliance to cook enough for the whole family. When I saw this I thought it might meet all the requirements.
