Doesn't work on the opposite side

If the lock doesn't need to be changed to the opposite side, the lock works fine, but if you need to change the lock to the other side, then already doesn't work.

Exact replacement for Brass Polder P/N

This is an exact replacement for the popular 20 year old brass plated unit, perfect for upgrading to today's popular finishes.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Good product in everything

Good product in everything. The nickel plating is nice and not too shiny. The only problem I had with installing it is that you have to cut deeper than the jig body. The lever mechanism returns lower when engaged than the template says. No big deal.

Good Product - Door Hardware & Locks

Great product for about half the price if I had bought it locally. The only problem that isn't immediately obvious is that the notches you put your fingers in to close the door are pretty shallow. If you have a heavy door (like mine) it's difficult to get leverage to move the door. However, this is a common problem with all pocket door hardware, so don't worry.

Pros
  • Excellent Construction

Cheaper material and very complex locking

It was difficult to lock and unlock right out of the box. After a few weeks you could no longer complete it. The finish shows it's a cheaper material and the internals are cheaper and thinner too. I disassembled it many times to try to make it better. I ended up buying a new one at my local hardware store for $15 and it was of significantly better quality and worked as expected.

Traction released immediately; 3 times!

I bought a latch to replace the one on the bathroom door because the bar broke off. A few months later the request was canceled here. I emailed customer service and they sent me a free replacement. Then you know what? Traction on that block also came loose. Well there are three of them who couldn't get out the tiny pocket door in my half of the tub. Eventually I just threw in the towel and bought a train separately from the castle. The lock itself works perfectly. I recently checked out a…
