Convenient and safe.

The handle remains motionless. No flips to one side or the other. The handle allows you to keep your hand away from the spout. Convenient to store and safe to use. Great loud whistle

Unfortunately it was too much

Sad teapot doesn't even whistle. I was very happy to receive it and was hoping it would whistle like my grandma's teapot when we were growing up so my daughter could hear the same sound and drink her great grandma's favorite tea and biscuits, but I think she always could still his tea and biscuits just have no sound from the kettle.

Not worth it: Kettle

Just received and must try to return it. Nice looking kettle but it's tin and I'm guessing only dogs can hear it whistle, I know I couldn't. Another reviewer claims it caught fire and I can believe it. It's very tinny and I can imagine the plastic handle melting slightly if left on the stove for too long with no audible whistling to let you know it's cooked. The pot I replaced was sturdier and made a whistle that the neighbors could hear and had no chance of boiling that pot over. I suggest you

Very good kettle at a reasonable price

This kettle replaces a very similar kettle that I have been using for over 10 years. After a week of use, I can confidently give it 5 stars. The finish is a beautiful mirror like stainless steel. The fit of the grip, cap and whistle is good. It does what it's supposed to do pretty well and holds quite a bit of water. I had no issues with leaking or melting plastic parts as mentioned in previous reviews. I use an electric stove and am very happy with this pan. Priced at around $15, I highly…

Do not buy from Kitchen & Dining

I bought this kettle 5 years ago for a little used home next to our young grandchildren. My husband and I are coffee drinkers, so we've used the kettle less than a dozen times over the years. Today I put it on the stove to heat tea water for our 4 year old grandchildren. I looked closely because I didn't want the water to fully boil. I picked it up and the handle fell off the spout - it melted! I quickly put it down and noticed that the other end of the handle had also melted. This fountain…

Pretty Good Kettle: Kettle

Considering the price and positive reviews, and the capacity and looks, I was convinced this was a good buy. My old kettle was a bit worn and burned a few times when the boiling water in the oven dried up (the whistle is more of a nuisance so I don't use that alarm and alert feature). Well, "Primula Liberty" has a rubber smell, which can mean that the rubber is not of very good quality and that it can transfer this smell to boiling water. Also, the metal is lighter and less reinforced than my…

Simple functional kettle!

I started using a coffee press and only used pots to boil water which wasn't the best solution as we had saved some. Instead, I opted for a kettle. It was a great decision. It has already found so many great uses. This kettle has a good price. Right out of the box you can see that it is very basic but fully functional and has a stunning stainless steel finish. The lid has a recess so that it does not slip when you put it on. The handle and spout covers are black plastic. The nose does whistle…

Never problems! It's nice to choose one and be happy with it!

The kettle came with the van we bought. He used all kinds of heating methods in it. Even do "no-no" and put tea bags right in after it's brought to a boil. Something I did for not taking my fragile ceramic teapot with me when I travelled! Well it turns out okay. There were no problems with rust or stains, even without emptying for several days! Anyhow, wanted to leave one at home so researched everything Amazon had to offer. Bought, drove me crazy deciding on one with all the horrible reviews…
