Review on PTK-6525 Primula 2.5 qt. Stainless Steel Whistling Stovetop Tea Kettle by Mayra Castillo

Pretty Good Kettle: Kettle

Considering the price and positive reviews, and the capacity and looks, I was convinced this was a good buy. My old kettle was a bit worn and burned a few times when the boiling water in the oven dried up (the whistle is more of a nuisance so I don't use that alarm and alert feature). Well, "Primula Liberty" has a rubber smell, which can mean that the rubber is not of very good quality and that it can transfer this smell to boiling water. Also, the metal is lighter and less reinforced than my old kettle. So I still use my old kettle, even though it's very battered. But I'm sure that one day I'll let go of my Primrose Liberty, love her completely, and use her satisfactorily to boil tea water.
