This parchment is ideal for tracing and drawing. With its help I draw an original pattern for a stained-glass window. The drawing has three layers and the paper allows me to see the bottom layer without the light table. It also erases well and the paper doesn't tear. I am very happy with my purchase.

While this is more than enough to make copies of a pattern for alterations, it is only slightly more durable than the flimsy paper on which most patterns are printed. This is great cheap paper for mistakes, but once you're done tracing and altering I recommend doing a clean draft on heavier weight Pro Art paper.

This tracing paper is awesome! It's perfect for what I bought it for; to keep track of the master copy of the pattern so I don't have to crop. This saves ink and money! I should add that the width needs to be wider for this use, but that's my fault. This paper comes in a variety of lengths and widths, making it easy to find the right size for you. Density and transparency of this paper are perfect. I will definitely use it again.

I bought this because I needed to make patterns in different sizes - I was absolutely delighted when I found a 50m roll of tracing paper. I ordered this roll of pattern tracing paper that I buy so I can cut multiple sizes of each and alter them easily. 36" is ideal as most of my patterns are about that wide. That means I roll to the desired length and trace. The pieces don't need to be glued together! The paper is whiter than traditional pattern fabric, but still translucent enough to see through.
