I only bought this book because I use it for my physics notes. Haven't used it yet as spring semester starts next week. I added some stickers and included page numbers for my own use. I used Sakura Pigma Micron pens to write the numbers and there were absolutely no smudges on the other side. The black cover has some texture and feels very stiff (so no flex).
