Too expensive. but effective.

This worm does exactly what it promises. The material has the perfect resistance to slide through small gaps and pull wires through. This is better than a wire hanger as there is very little chance of scratching the interior of the car with it. But it is expensive.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Defects

USELESS CHEAP PLASTIC!

Ordered to run cables in the car. This is VERY cheap plastic, cheaper even than the cheapest cable ties! I've tried threading the wire through the door panel and it doesn't bend very much. Also a pain in the butt to use. Completely useless and no reason to go anywhere near $20! It should be a maximum of 2 dollars. I ended up using some long zippers to get the job done. AVOID!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some cons

This makes installation a breeze!

I've been installing car stereos, alarms and remote starts for years and this is by far the best car cable I've ever used, it just goes through rubber boots between doors like butter. Don't believe the negative reviews here, I don't think these people know how to use the fish or how awesome the design is. Trust me it's really awesome, my snap-on fish is looking bad.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Unreliable

Garbage. Not worth $17 at all.

This is not the best tool. It always returns in a tight spiral, never to straighten out. I slowly massaged it with light heat and even tried heating it with a low temperature heat gun to loosen it. It broke the fifth or sixth time I used it. waste of money. You can purchase a 3- or 4-foot tie at Home Depot, which is better suited for this purpose. Don't waste money if you don't plan on keeping it in your tool box.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Practically corresponds to the description

Not used yet, but should help when installing speakers. Seems well made and probably safer than using a coat hanger due to its smooth, tapered ends. Yes the hanger is free and works if you are careful. But the blunt sharp end of the hanger can damage the trim, carpet and wiring in the dashboard. Certainly good for a pro. If you're doing a one-time home install, you can probably use a coat hanger cautiously.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some difficulties

OK - Helps prevent damage from hangers

Due to the size of the project and conflicting reviews, I decided to completely rewire my Jetta's audio system. It really did the job and I'm glad I bought it but not sure it would work any better as a coat rack. My only caveat with the hanger was that I didn't want to risk scratching the paint or damaging existing wiring or seals in the doors. The plastic gave me extra security and that's why I think it was worth it

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Loudness
