Great turntable for less than $500

I bought this turntable to replace my 1998 Panasonic PL-990 fully automatic. I saw one in a small music shop on a trip to Eastern Europe and have wanted to buy it ever since. This is a nice simplified car. A lot of engineering has gone into this player; You don't see it - in this case it's good. It's not chrome, it's glaring ugliness. The lines are clean and the workmanship is high quality. It feels solid with no discernible plastic except for the dust cover, unlike my old TT which was mostlyโ€ฆ

Sleek, modern and amazing sound

This is my third turntable since I started listening to vinyl in 2005. From Crosley playing dollar records to Technics SL-D2 which was a workhorse but ultimately I wanted to hack into high-end audio equipment. Is $500 a lot of money? For most people I'd say yes, especially since you'll need an amp or receiver, speakers, etc. if you don't already have them. But I've spent a lot of time reading reviews and the best of them and looking at suggestions on YouTube and passed, this is my favoriteโ€ฆ

Great for the price

There is nothing wrong with this deck in my opinion. The only thing missing is where they recommend putting an anti-skate line on the arm. You need to go to the Pro-Ject webpage and download another installation guide that explains where to place them for different weight cartridges. I did this shortly after ordering so I could check, so it wasn't a big deal. (except for removing all packaging). It's a little odd to think about how to align yourself with only three feet, but after you've played
