"Impressive preamp for audiophiles

Amazing A/D Conversion

Taking off a star because it's sooooo expensive. But it has all the features you need to copy your analogue music sources: an RIAA phono stage or a CD or SACD quality cassette is no problem. Adjust the volume in Audacity with the knob and hold out red. If money is not an issue, highly recommended.

Yes, it's really quiet. The rest of the features are great.

I had four USB phono stages. Let's forget the excellent features and just talk about the sound. Compared to the NAD PP4, the Parasound ZPhono USB, and the early Pro-Ject Phono Box, this is by far the quietest of the four. Turn the gain all the way up, turn up the volume on the amp and listen with headphones and you won't hear any hiss, just a faint hum coming from the mains.
