Pro-Tec Classic Skate 🛹 Helmet - Gloss Black, Large Review

I love this helmet. I bought it for skydiving and its design makes it very easy to get in quickly and the curved surfaces are great for attaching cameras like a GoPro.

I didn't want the helmet to be as thick as most helmets. Most of my friends had Pro-Tec helmets growing up and I always thought they looked way better than what I was wearing. The helmet is flimsy and I knew it didn't offer that much protection, but to be honest it doesn't look that good. Yes it's light but not as comfortable and still looks silly on my head. Instead, I went with the Triple Eight, which is a lot more comfortable and just a tad sillier looking.

This is a Protecs classic skate helmet which means it is not certified for safe rain as it is designed to take multiple relatively low speed impacts such as those encountered when skating in a skate park or street skating. Two stage foam is good for a lot of hits and can be easily and inexpensively replaced when it wears out unlike EPS or SXP helmets. New pads cost about $10. I received my Pro Tec helmet a few minutes ago and I am very satisfied. The outer packaging was great and the helmet comes in a cardboard like box which is nice as you can easily store it in your locker or at home. The helmet comes with additional stickers as shown above, has original labels and instructions. The fit was perfect. I originally ordered medium but it was too small.
