I bought this product after an operation. I one.

I bought this product after an operation. I am a very athletic person and after the operation I was worried about the shape of my abdomen due to lack of mobility. After the surgery, I suddenly realized that it was useful for much more than just shaping my stomach, it helped relieve pain by stabilizing my stomach.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some flaws

Ideal after abdominal surgery.

I have bought several of these as I am recovering from abdominal surgery. There is nice comfortable compression and I can wear it all day. It also offers a little support for the back. I'm 5ft 4", waist 29", hips 39 and bought size SMALL. ProCare Premium 9" 3 Panel Stretch Abdominal Wrap Small/Medium (Waist: 30" - 45")

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • There are new competitors

The bandage supports the abdomen well

The bandage supports the abdomen well. I had an incisional hernia after my abdominal surgery and needed something to "keep everything in". The only criticism is that the binding gets narrower towards the middle. If you try to pull it tighter, the wide end of the velcro will rub annoyingly over and under the binding, causing you to chafe from the velcro.

Same as hospital

Satisfied. This abdominal brace is the exact same product (brand, size, fit) that was provided to me in the hospital after surgery. I'm 5ft 4" tall and 9" covers a little more than the model shows (hitting just under the chest, fully covering the front rib cage). 4 stars because it's only medium compression; the material will stretch if you move around a lot or readjust the band several times a day. Still worth it for the price.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Update available

Maybe I'm stupid? Thumbs down for durability.

Simple, light, relatively well hidden under clothing, but not too tight. Mine worked fine overall, but after only 7 days of use, the elastic has stretched on one side where the elastic and velcro meet. From top to bottom, there's an inch-wide strip of stretched, useless elastic that looks like Ace's heavily used bandage. Contrary to other reviews I wouldn't call it durable. There are so many good reviews for this product that I don't even know I'm out of luck!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Little things

Compression garments as provided in hospital

I needed additional abdominal compression garments as an alternative to what I was wearing in hospital. This one was similar to the one I have. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was exactly the same as the one provided by the hospital. It offers great support in the healing process. At the end of the day after sitting for a long time, it creases a little (like in the hospital), but if I give it a break while wearing another, it regains its firmness and shape.

Pros
  • Equipped with multiple elastic support panels and flannel lining to prevent rolling
Cons
  • Very expensive

Skip if you are a petite woman

I bought this item because I thought cotton would be more comfortable on the front. What I wasn't expecting is that this will affect how far you can close the binding and all three sections are NOT the same size. So if you're on the smaller side, the stiff Velcro will rub against your skin where it attaches. I would recommend the Dale Folder at any time, not this one. I would like to return it, but one day I tried to put it on. Dale gives me the compression my doctor wants me to have. If it's…

Pros
  • One size fits all for men and women
Cons
  • Some issues

Exactly what the doctor sent me home

First of all, great price! This is exactly what the surgeon sent me home after my abdominal surgery, so I was very happy to find it. My doctor told me to wear it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as long as I have swelling (about 4-6 weeks) and that most people find that just compression generally helps. I think it helps with swelling and also according to the restrictions you put on yourself after the operation.- It's nothing special and there are no styling goggles as it's visible under tight…

Pros
  • Contact closure allows for easy adjustment and ensures proper fit
