I am a lover of knives and boards, but this little gem has made me a happy old lady! I can cook a fermenting cabbage without pulling out a clunky food processor or something. It's easy to use and clean, and it's YELLOW! Allotah Bang for Yah Buck.

If you are buying this to replace an older version burned out motor, the slot where the blade enters the motor is larger on this model so it will not work. I had a set of three bases for about ten years when the motor failed - this jug was the size I used the least, but now that I've gotten to use it it works great for most things.

I was skeptical about using this as an all-in-one replacement for a blender and food processor, but was pleasantly surprised at how well it did the job. It's not a perfect 1:1 replacement for each appliance (a dedicated high-end blender makes smoother smoothies, and swappable blades in a food processor offer options this appliance just doesn't have), but it does what I want, more than sufficient .and in a smaller size.

If you don't put on a lid with a hole - just right so that the curve of the spout matches the curved lid exactly - it won't start. What's so good about that? I never accidentally spray the ceiling and walls of a smoothie. So take it, you will love it. If it won't start, adjust the cap and it will start. Works well but not very user friendly. The upper part is disassembled into two parts: the engine part and the cover that holds it upright. You cannot stand the motor upright on the counter as it is too round and therefore prone to roll. The base of the engine is designed in this way. strange.
