this is the best

this is the best iron i have ever had and i am 70 years old and have been ironing since i was 10 years old. Best. no need to look further. I just wish I had had it years ago instead of going back and forth trying to smooth out wrinkles on more expensive straighteners. ).It heats up quickly and shuts off when not in use. Love love this iron. Instead of being afraid of the ironing repeating me for hours to smooth out wrinkles, it gets the job done. Not only that The speeds clearly show which to…

This iron goes from history

Oh those memories of the old days and chores. Proctor Cylex has been around ever since. A very good iron with a non-stick coating that helps the iron glide over the surface. It's not exactly non-stick, because when you fuse the fabric, dirt collects on it and you have to wipe it off with a warm cloth. Then wipe the surface with wax paper. But the beauty of this iron is in balance; not too light and not too heavy, easy to move through thick fabrics. I haven't found anything better for ironing…

So far so good - iron

I like retro style. Why not have an iron similar to the one I grew up with? I must have spent a lot of time ironing my father's handkerchiefs as a child. This is the #4 iron I bought, all others have been unsuccessful. And sent it back. All are way more expensive than this one so you might think they are good. no They all had a brief auto shut off, which I hated. I use my iron while sewing, so I want one that either heats up very quickly or just lasts longer even when parked. This one does both

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
