Description of Professional Harmonic Balancer Crankshaft Shankly

✅ HARMONIC BALANCER PULLER: Our conventional pulley puller tool removes the harmonic damper pulley found on all Mazda, Dodge engines 1990 and later, GM and Cadillac engines 1988 and later, Ford engines 1995 and later, and some Hyundai and Mitsubishi engines. ✅ TIME SAVER: This gear puller tool or flywheel pulley eliminates the need for a technician to go through the time-consuming process of first removing the radiator before being able to remove the pulley. ✅ STRONG JAW DESIGN: This harmonic balancer puller jaw design or (tools flywheel puller tool set) provides greater durability, clevis pins allow jaws to be quickly removed and installed, allowing the user to finish the job quickly and effectively. ✅ IDEAL FOR TIGHT SPACES: Shankly's pully puller tool or gear puller is designed to extract damper pulleys in tight engine compartments, the compact design provides more room to work than many flywheel pullers. ✅ HEAVY-DUTY CASE: This harmonic balancer puller/installer set or puller set sits neatly in a tidy blow molded case with a built-in handle and slide latches making it simple and easy to move and store this tool.

This is a good kit but the longer extension is too short.

This is a good set but the longer extension is too short for the Jeep 3.7 engine. I've been a mechanic for years and have found this to be a problem with almost every car. So do yourself a favor and buy a set of 1/4" extensions to use in place of the pins that come with it.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Expensive

Works well with a little ingenuity

Didn't know this puller was actually made for Chrysler. The stem was a little short for an LS crankshaft, but after putting a 1/4 deep socket in the crank and then using the long bar that came with the kit, it worked really well for the money. If you had an old motor linkage it would work just fine too.

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • Secret

Much better than buying it from your local parts store.

I bought this to remove my harmonic balancer on my JK Wrangler but couldn't do it due to the weather. But judging by the fitting it fits perfectly and is made of quality materials and I don't think I'll have any problems with that. If there are any problems pulling it out, I'll update my review.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Modern

Fits stock LS crank washers

It works like a charm removing LS crank washers once you have that stubborn GD crank bolt that has been used on at least half a dozen engines and still holds up . My only comment or suggestion for improvement is the bolted nylon nuts that hold the levers in place, the standard bolts loosen over time and need to be turned quickly, no big deal 🤷‍♂️

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Good tool 2nd use 07 Dodge Charger 3.5

This tool makes life easier I didn't have to change the tool or anything like that as mentioned in other reviews 2nd time on Dodge Charger 07 3.5 L, the only thing to do with this tool is you have to remove one of the fingers, insert the other two into the balancer and then install the finger you removed from the tool and screw it back on, insert the rod into the hole and install the screwdriver. Make sure you use Anti-Seize. Anti-Seize is designed to give you a smoother operation

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Worked great. I used this on a '99 Chrysler 300M with a 3.5 liter engine and only had to remove the fan assembly to make room for the puller, not the radiator. After removing the fan assembly, there will be 5 inches between the surface of the radiator and the front of the crankshaft nose, allowing enough clearance for this puller. The puller pin is hollow allowing a sufficient length of shaft to pass through the pin. So I suggest you start the removal process with a longer stick. Another tip…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
