  • WHAT IS PITMAN ARM? The bipod arm is part of your vehicle's steering system - it connects the steering gear to the center link, allowing the wheels to turn. Pitman levers are ball joints, just like your hip, and need to be replaced when they wear out. A worn bipod arm results in poor handling and makes it difficult or impossible to achieve camber, leading to rapid tire wear. Replacing a worn bipod arm results in a noticeable improvement in steering feel, handling and safety.
