This tool is essential for grading camshafts and checking shoulder height and length. It also makes it easier to find the center line of the petal. The bottom set screw can be removed or shortened to fit the jack hole.

When assembling high speed engines with tight tolerances, this tool makes valve timing adjustment easier. There is no need to build a Rube Goldberg assembly to hook up a dial indicator, it inserts into the hole in the lifter and outputs real numbers for adjusting the cam timing.

Works as described. GM LSX series engines is what I use it for. The only complaint. The set screw must go inward, allowing free play without snagging on the hoist body. I had to remodel mine
