Precise Balancing for Optimum Performance!

The ProForm connecting rod balancer is the perfect tool for automotive enthusiasts. As a result of my tests, I determined that this product is exceptionally accurate in balancing engine components, which translates to better performance on the road. The compact size and ease of use make it ideal for those looking to achieve precision without breaking the bank. The only drawback is that it may not be suitable for heavier-duty engines. Nonetheless, it's an essential tool for those seeking…

Pros
  • Accurate balancing of connecting rods for improved engine performance.
Cons
  • Requires proper knowledge and expertise to use correctly and safely.

A good product! c Motors and Motor Parts

The balancer works well but the bearing in the linkage is a bit stiff. The bearing and linkage are meant to eliminate side loads, but they're not slack enough to do it very effectively. It could just be my special connection. If you're too concerned about side loads making your measurements unreproducible, you can simply swap out the linkage for a better bearing or suspension chain.

Pros
  • Used with digital or mechanical scale
Cons
  • Very expensive

Bearing needs adjustment/replacement

All in all a great tool for those who do a lot of engine repair work themselves; especially if you are not using new aftermarket parts that have already been balanced. The bearing inside the corrector itself is slightly misaligned (out of alignment), causing any rod placed on it to not measure correctly, as the rod bushing is not fully supported by the corrector's rollers (because it is not installed). I had to push the balance arm against the bearing to make it "level". Pretty disappointing…

Pros
  • Designed for connecting rods
Cons
  • Out of fashion
