Easy install Good for sports

Fixing exactly the same as the one that broke on my 1994 Bayliner Capri 1850. Replaced Mayfair 500 GPH with this 750 GPH. Pumps water well.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Having trouble

Does not come with an electrical plug.

Didn't know this pump didn't have an electrical plug. Went back and ordered another one with the electrical plug I need.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • High price

Pathetic pump

Took 5 months. Can't stand dry running even for a moment. The impeller heats up and is constantly deformed. Totally impractical bilge pump design.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Little things

Exact replacement for Boating & Sailing

Had to replace the original equipment pump in my 94 Mastercraft. (It eventually failed after 24 years.) The Johnson pump fit perfectly in the hull of my boat, so it wasn't difficult at all. literally. Now I think it will take 24 years. too soon to tell, but it works now and that's the main thing.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Useless features

Quick replacement for an old Mayfair bilge pump

This was an exact replacement for my 30 year old Mayfair bilge pump. I didn't even have to remove the old basket/mount. There was a small problem unlocking the pump from the new cart. I couldn't do it manually but with some force with very large lipped pliers it came loose.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Some complications

Direct replacement for a 1992 MasterCraft Prostar 205

This is a Mayfair 750gph replacement that died in my boat this year. Same mounting socket means it unscrews (clockwise) and the replacement screws into the same socket that attaches to the body (counterclockwise). Connect the 2 wires, reattach the hose and you are good to go. Took me the whole 5 minutes and works with the float switch I have on the boat.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

I received the goods very quickly, but I could not turn the impeller.

Item received very quickly but the impeller could not be rotated as there is no way to press the tabs to release. Also, it looks like I received the returned item. This shows that someone has unsuccessfully attempted to pry the grommets in. The site address in the instructions does not help. No phone number, just fax and email. I would like to contact the seller before leaving negative feedback, but there is no way to do so.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Exchange option
