Overpriced, thin rod.

Wanted to attach a bicycle seat post with it. It's too weak. The screw size is too small. And the price is too high. Shopping spree.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • No performance

Worked great on the Jamis Aurora, a little mounting grease helped

Needed a temporary seatpost quick release bolt while trying to get it right for my height and after the hex seat bolt broke. It worked well, but needed some lube on the carbon buildup to keep the seatpost from slipping under the weight. Not heavy and works well.

  • Great price

Looks nice, but functionally unusable.

Mine did not have any metal fittings as shown in the picture. Plastic. I couldn't tighten it enough that the seat wouldn't move. Not even close. tried my best To the point that tools were required to remove it, it still wasn't enough to hold the seatpost. Maybe one that includes a clamp will work better. For $10 + serious disappointment. When similar $2 products work better.

  • Easy to read control panel

Bitch: Biking

Don't let the picture fool you, it really is a piece of junk. The plastic part is easy to chew and does not contract. I know bikes and this is a poor quality product, don't waste your money. Now I don't even think I can return it because the plastic part has gone bad. Bicycle parts must be tightenable and reliable for safety reasons. It's worth a lot, you know what. I would give ZERO stars if I could.

  • Handsfree

Perfect - a warning to the townspeople.

Let me start by saying this screw is absolutely perfect and exactly as advertised. It looks neat and fits my bike without checking compatibility on my site. I love the quick release feature because my bike or car fits in the back just by removing the seatpost. Would have no hesitation in recommending if that is what you are looking for. My only regret, and something I completely overlooked, is that if you live in a city or other place where your locked bike will see a lot of pedestrians, theโ€ฆ

Promax seat clamp bolt with clamp arm

I used this Promax seat clamp with an alloy Sunlite seat clamp. I wanted the color to match my black bike so I replaced the heavy chrome Sunlite clamp arm and bolt with this Promax seat clamp. The length of this bolt was much shorter than the Sunlite bolt I was looking for because the Sunlite pinch bolt touched the inside of my leg when I was pedaling. Not only is it shorter than my previous clamp setup, it's lighter too! The price I paid was great and shipping was fast and free! The onlyโ€ฆ
